The Onondaga Silk Co. was incorporated in 1918, as far as my
records tell. In the mid-1920s, it had around 180 employees. The
plant was over 100,000 square feet, and located on 131 Shonnard
St. in Syracuse. It had a smaller 32,000 square foot factory in
Ogdensburgh with 60 employees. The factory in Stirling, NJ must
have been established after 1925 (probably as part of a
reorganization of the firm).
Hope this helps.
