There was an Alburg and an Alburgh in Franklin County, NY. A post office
was established at Alburgh on 25 Oct 1875. In Dec 1894 the "h" was dropped
from the name. On 30 Nov 1906 the post office at Alburg was discontinued
and mail service came from Brushton.
