In NYC there are today many streets and intersections with vanity names. I
assume these street names appeal to some voting block. The streets near the
Greek consolate are named for the religious leaders of the Greek Orthodox
Church and so forth.

Is there a central list of these names and is there a single source that
bio's the honored person. Near City Hall on Broadway is Steve Flanders
Square. Who is Steve Flanders?

Vanity streets dot the city. Who are these people? Is there a
reference/source?
