One way to convert might be to determine from the records what a typical
laborer's daily or hourly wage was in the 17th century and create a ratio
using the daily or hourly wage of a comparable worker today. Another way
would be to determine the values for certain commodities in the 17th century
in 17th-century guilders and compare to the modern dollar values for those
same items today.
