Dear NY Historian,

An eFriend has sought my help in " ... trying to locate any pix, drawing,
facsimile of the City of Brooklyn's flag (1838-98)."

My eFriend further writes, "The Bklyn Borough pres, H. Golden's office sends
only "borough" of Bklyn stuff ... The Bklyn Historial Society is CLOSED until
2004 ... NY Historical Society dismisses request & refers it to Bklyn Public
Library (Grand Army Plaza) and BPLibrary claims research files OPEN by
walk-ins only, (I live 1500 miles away in Fla)."

Any thoughts on this will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Walter Greenspan
