JOHNSTOWN — The sights and sounds of the Revolutionary War will make
its way into the city this weekend as the the Johnson Hall State
Historic Site will present a re-enactment of the Battle of Johnstown
which occurred in 1781.

The actual battle re-enactment will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday,
Sept. 21, throughout the streets of the city.

Historic Site Manager Manager Wade Wells said the battle will commence
at Fort Johnstown and make its way through the city down William
Street, West State Street and Hall Avenue.

He said the battle will culminate at the battlefield site on Johnson Avenue.
Wells said soldiers will be using powder and muskets as they battle in
the streets and will be using cannons at the actual battlefield.
