This may be of interest to someone from Red Hook and/or Dutchess County.
There is a gravestone in the Maplecrest Cemetery (formerly called the Big
Hollow Cemetery) in the hamlet of Maplecrest, Town of Windham, Greene County,
NY for Ambrose Munson who died 23 May 1840, aged 41 years, 11 months. This
stone further states that he was "a member of the Dutch Reformed Church, Red
Hook." It is a mystery to me as to why this gravestone was placed here. I
have been unable to connect him to anyone else buried in this cemetery.

Patricia Morrow, Windham Town Historian (Greene County, NY)
