The New York State Archives and New York State Library--Manuscripts & Special Collections research room on the third floor of the Cultural Education Center, Empire State Plaza, Albany, will be CLOSED Friday July 6 because of firewall construction. (The research room will also closed for one day or more later in July to allow construction to be completed.) New York State Archives microfilm and microfiche, including the NYS Department of Health vital records indexes, will NOT be available for use on July 6.
Limited alternative research space will be available by appointment. Researchers who have reserved materials for use on July 6 should go to the third floor reception desk to obtain a visitor badge and directions.
