GLENS FALLS — Civil War historian, genealogist and collector Lance
Ingmire of Saratoga will present his vast collection of artifacts and
memorabilia at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at The Hyde Collection.

This will be followed by a 2 p.m. talk about his family’s connection
to President Abraham Lincoln and a display of original photographs of
Lincoln’s funeral May 4, 1865.

The activities are part of a Veterans Day program at The Hyde called
“Veterans Vision,” inspired by the 1888 portrait of poet Walt Whitman
by Thomas Eakins that is presently on loan to The Hyde from the
Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. It is considered one of Eakins’
finest paintings.
