Stone Arabia is a piece of wordplay in German. Since the land was full of turnip-sized stones it was jokingly referred to as "stein rube" [u-umlaut] also expressed as "stein ruebe."

Given that distinctly German pronunciation of the u-umlaut just imagine how a frustrated English-speaker would render the curious sound and you'll have "Stone Arabia"
