Jim, the only thing I sort of recall is that National Geographic published
an article on the URR with a map that showed the generally-used routes,
resembling one of those military campaign maps, with arrows in several
places across New York State (and other states). It was not very
specific and it was probably printed  10 or 15 years ago. Best I can do.
