Can anyone identify "Barkydt's" in the quotation below. From the context,
it appears to be a fashionable place in or near Saratoga Springs. The
quotation is from Susan Fenimore Cooper's novel "Elinor Wyllys" (1846),
Vol. II, Ch. 9:
"I believe so; they were there the day before, yesterday, for Mrs. Hilson
asked me to a pic-nic, at Barkydt's--but I was engaged. I think I saw Miss
Hubbard in the street, yesterday."
