This web area covers outreach and mandated programs of the State Museum, such as historical markers, chartering, underwater archeology, state lands permits, geographic names, local government historians, etc.

The site has been completely rebuilt with expanded content and user-friendly links, especially in the "State Historic Marker Program" section, which also includes a new searchable database of the original marker installations across the state.

Some of your "customers" may be looking for this information, so when you get a chance, visit the site and note any useful URLs. To enter this web area, go to: http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/services.html
