As part of our on-going podcasting efforts, the Dowling College Library
in Oakdale, New York has created an online resource for our
history-related audio interviews:

The Listening Tour of South Shore History
http://www.dowling.edu/library/maps/oakdale.html

This interactive map links users to MP3 files featuring members of local
historical societies, collectors, and long-time residents discussing the
history of the area as well as issues involved in preserving the past.
Special segments also involve readings of materials in our Special
Collections.

The MP3 files will play on any standard media player right on your
desktop. File download times will vary with your connection.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
