I have read that there was a trial of the Wawayanda vs. Cheesecocks
case in Chester in Orange County, NY during May to October, 1785. My
ancestors owned land in both the Wawayanda and Cheesecocks Patents in
Orange County in the 1700s. Could anyone enlighten me about the cause
of the legal battle and what the outcome of the case was?

Thanks much.
