I've just put together what I hope will be the definitive resource on the song that everyone seems to know and love - "The Erie Canal Song", aka "Low Bridge, Everybody Down."

The site includes downloadable lyrics (all five original verses), sheet music, common myths about the song's lyrics and origins, early recordings, images, and more.

If you have any further information on the song, I'd love to see it for possible inclusion.

Feel free to share this page with canal enthusiasts everywhere and/or link to it on your website as appropriate.

Thanks,
Dave
