Log City was an early name for the village/hamlet of Eaton in Madison County, New York.

  Hi,

Can anyone help this friend of mine who is searching for the location of Log City?

  Les:
Here is some info on Bennett.
His name has been listed as Orra and Orren Bennett. The photo his 3x
great-granddaughter has states that he was born in 1800, Log City, N.Y. He
died Oct. 28, 1866 in Lyons.
One source I found states that he was born in Madison County.
At some point between his birth and 1824, he lived in Troy, N.Y. He would
have learned the gunsmith trade there (as he cites in his ad of 1824 when he
  moved to Lyons, N.Y.)
Apparently he met wife, Emaline (Smith) while in Troy.
Would like to find out where Log City was located.
  Steve
