A good resource for Queens history is the Queens Borough Public Library, Long Island Division, Local History Collection

If you are interested in doing research on the 1970s and 1980s, the the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives (where I work) has the papers of the Forest Hill Community House (a settlement house).
