LITTLE FALLS — The 18th century home of Gen. Nicholas Herkimer is full of
history for any visitor.

Located at 200 state Route 169 in the town of Danube, Herkimer Home State
Historic Site includes the Herkimer mansion, the original root cellar,
Herkimer’s family cemetery, Herkimer’s monument and nearly 150 acres of the
extensive homestead, which includes gardens and restored landscapes,
according to Herkimer Home Academy’s website.
