On the Holland Land Company, if you can't get to the New York State
Archives, or to the the big collection at Fredonia State College, I would
suggest the excellent book by Wycliff, "The Developer's Frontier."  There
is another called "Joseph Ellicott and the Holland Land Company," though I
don't have the author's name with me now.
