The headquarters of the NYS Klan was in Broome County. For an excellent
article on the Klan in Binghamton, see: Jay Rubin, łThe Ku Klux Klan in
Binghamton, New York. 1923-1928,˛ Bulletin of the Broome County Historical
Society 20 (Winter 1973). The Frederick Wallace Putnam Document Collection
at the Binghamton Public Library (Special Collections), also contains
material on the Klan.
Good luck with locating material in other upstate/central NY counties!
