I wish to thank those who have e-mailed to me supportive and encouraging
words about the USCT Institute's new web site at

Responses have been received as far away as Houston, TX. The membership
drive for the year 2000 is now underway and remains at $25 payable to
Hartwick College. Each member receives a nice personalized certificate of
membership (smile)
And two issues of the USCT Civil War Digest. Membership applications and
other information are on the web site.

The 3rd Annual Emancipation Memorial Ball is being held at Hartwick College
on Saturday, February 19th. Tickets are
$15 per person, which includes dinner, program, and music. It is being
sponsored by the USCT Institute of Delaware and Otsego Counties. Anyone who
