Please accept this invitation from Lower Hudson Conference to join in celebration of 25 years of service to the museums, historic sites and heritage organizations of the Hudson Valley and greater metropolitan region, as we take the measure of "Keepers’ Progress" in this National Heritage Area, through our Annual Meeting, Field Forum, and Awards for Excellence, October 3, 2003.
Keynote Address: "Preserving Regional Heritages," J. Winthrop Aldrich,
retired NYS Deputy Commissioner for Historic Preservation
Field Forum: "Embracing Mission," forum led by LHC Trustee Stephen Long,
Curator & Director of Education, Lower East Side Tenement Museum, NYC,
Presented in cooperation with the Museum Association of New York (MANY)
Buffet Luncheon: in the auditorium and on the terrace overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades;
Annual Meeting and Election of LHC Trustees, accompanying dessert.
Awards Presentation: Winners of the 2003 Historical Services Awards for Excellence (tba)
Presentation of the first Lower Hudson Conference Cultural Heritage Award.
After-Tour of The Hudson River Museum’s "Hudson Riverama," exhibit,
with Director Michael Botwinick and museum staff.
