Please change the subject line when responding to the Daniel Shays string. Unless Capt. Shays stayed overnight in one on his way through south western Vermont, New World Dutch Barns have very little to do with Les Buell's question.

However if evidence does surface that Capt. Shays did stay in a NWDB, we will be glad to run an article in our Barn Field Journal on our web page. (8-)
