Dear all,

This morning I received information stating that an ancestor may have
been a member of "the Priestley Group who migrated from England and
settled in the eastern part of the state (New York) for two years before
coming to Pittsford (NY)."

Can anyone identify this group or provide some reference? I think this
would have been in the late 1770s. The reference I have says it may have
been a Baptist Group.

There was also references to the services of my ancestor in, "Captain
William Hutchin's Co., Herrick's Regiment, Vermont Militia," and also
serving "Captain Isaac Tichenor, Colonel Ebenezer Walbridge's Regiment
at Castleton."

I am not familiar with any of these groups or organizations.

Sincerely,
Bob Armstrong
