WILTON >> Wilton resident and maritime archaeologist Joseph W. Zarzynski
recently taught an historic cannon workshop in preparation for an upcoming
shipwreck exploration.

The class, called “How to Measure a Cannon,” was sponsored by the Rhode
Island Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP), a not-for-profit group that is
planning an underwater investigation of cannons found at two Revolutionary
War shipwrecks off Newport, R.I.
