There is a file at Hyde Park between FDR and Maurice Bloch, my grandfather.
Bloch was Democratic leader of the Assembly from 1924-1929.
And, according to Sam Rosenman in Working With Roosevelt, Bloch managed
FDR's 1928 campaign for governor. (Bloch managed Robert F. Wagner's
campaign for Senator in 1926 and Tom Farley's campaign for New York County
Sheriff in 1929).
Letters in the file refer to Bloch's getting figures to someone only
identified as "E.M."
Does anyone have any idea as who E.M. was and what said figures might be
about?
Thanks,
Billy Sternberg
