The Hanford Mills Museum at East Meredith in Delaware County has regular
exhibits and demonstrations on Ice Harvesting. See their website at:
http://www.hanfordmills.org/
As I recall, there was an illustrated pamphlet on the subject issued a
few years ago -- I can't remember whether by the Hanford Mills Museum or by
NYSHA in Cooperstown. Ice used to be harvested, of course, from many lakes
and ponds, including Otsego Lake.
