"Die Hard III" with Bruce Willis had a car chase anc crash scene on the
Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley.  Spike Lee burned down a house in
Putnam Valley for "Malcolm X".  Producers in both cases made nice
contributions to the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which was
asked to stand by and do nothing - just in case.
