Hi,

Received the following query. Can anyone advise Lisa on the possible
authenticity and importance of her document, or ways of determinging the
former? I'll pass along any info.

David

I am trying to reach David Minor. I live in California, and recently found
what appears to be an important original document relating to the Arms of
Amsterdam ship. Your website is one of the few places that mentions the
ship and the purchase of the island of Manhattan by the Dutch. In ?NYNY
1620-1629,? under the year 1626, there are two passages for the dates of
September 23 and November 5. I believe the document I found is the report
referenced in the November 5 passage. As I said, the document appears to be
original, written on some type of cloth or fabric.

I was just wondering about the significance of the document, and whether or
not it is of value (if it is in fact the original). If you have any
suggestions as to how I can research the document further, I would really
appreciate it. Thanks!

Lisa Malec
