The Klan was active across Central New York. I picked up a Klan robe a few years ago in an Antique Shop in Seneca Falls, but I'm not going to be much help. The man's name was in the robe but it is owned by someone else now.

My Father was in the Klan. He never talked much about it, probably as he knew we would be on opposite sides in that argument. My Mother told me that she went to a meeting with him in Albion, New York and she waited outside in the car. After a short time he came running out and jumped in the car and they drove away. Not a clue as to what went on in the meetings. They have both since passed away...so as I said, sorry, not much help.

Subject: [NYHIST-L] Ku Klux Klan in Central New York 1920s

A college senior is looking for primary source information on the Ku Klux Klan
in New York State during the 1920s. He would like to focus on Central New York
or the Mohawk Valley if possible. Any ideas where primary sources might be
found would be greatly appreciated.
