Help! Looking for biographical information, or sources thereof, for Noble
Whitford, author of the History of the New York Canals (1905) and the
History of the Barge Canal (1922). Apparently served for a long time in the
department of the State Engineer and Surveyor. Even a date and place of
death would be helpful.
