I am searching for references and the hidden
information out there on a William Henderson of
New York City, who married Sarah Denning in 1787
or so. He was a New York City Merchant and land
speculator. His father in law was William
Denning, who also wheeled and deal. William
Henderson was a member of the Tontine Coffee
house, and he died in Albany in 1825. Our town
is named for him and I am collecting info for
our town's 200th year. Thanks. I have not been
able to find where he was born, (1767) or who
his parents were, but he appears on the scene a
bit after the Revolutionary War and buys land
pensions, and eventually large tracts of land.
