Looking for a list specific to New York City to contact about NYC info second half of nineteenth century.  

Specifically seeking information about a club, or society, known as the "Bavarian Central K. U." as noted in an obituary dated 1889.  Desire meaning of initials, purpose and repository, if any, of records.
