Oooooops.... One should pay attention to ones spelling and not watch the news while writing letters. Les The camp no longer exists.... However the cemetery where the Confederate soldiers were buried is still there. It is near the (modern) prison. I don't know the street address but the prison is a good land mark. The Confederates are buried between the National cemetery and the city cemetery. The flag pole that stood at the prison camp is still in Elmira and now stands on public property at the site of the prison. Before going check this book, The Elmira Prison Camp by Clay W. Holmes. This was first published in 1912 and has recently been republished. Les Buell
