Glynn, Albany. Unfortunately, the site does not provide any of the interesting details surrounding his removal, but it's a start. see http://www.state.ny.us/governor/govhistory.htm Michelle Arpey Documentary Heritage Services New York State Archives and Records Administration [log in to unmask] >>> Bill Carr <[log in to unmask]> 12/16 6:05 PM >>> On page 243 of the 1922 'History of the Barge Canal', Noble Whitford states, "The Legislature, convened by the Governor in extraordinary session in June, remained in session the rest of the year and meantime removed the Governor from office." Then he moves back into canal affairs and leaves use hanging although I'm sure that anyone reading it when it was originally published would know about this episode. My questions are: (1) Who was the Governor? (2) Why was the special session called? (3) How and why was the Governor removed from office? Thanks in advance, Bill Carr Ballston Lake
