Since January 1997, NY History Net has provided information and links promoting access to web resources related to New York History. The site has become quite popular, currently ranked 15th in the History Ring's 486 connected sites.
The History Department of the University at Albany has agreed to host the NY History Net web site. It is fitting and proper that the State University at the state capital do this. The changeover will take until the end of the year. In the meantime, your links to the site will remain the same. The History Department at Albany has been in the vanguard of using 'new media', as may be seen at their home page at http://www.albany.edu/history/
