Correction to web address:

listing of markers on web at http://www.rpi.edu/~marksp2/history/nystate3.html

These are just state-funded markers from original program. Privately funded ones - look the same - are not on the list. Let me know if it works out.

We have a visiting professor here at Alfred University that is looking
for an historical marker. Apparently, he (the professor) was driving in
the Finger Lakes region about six years ago and happened across a marker
at a cottage that said Josiah Gibbs, a scientist, had vacationed there.
Now, our visiting prof. wants to find it again. Anyone have any leads? I
know there was recent discussion about web sites with historical marker
listings, which I unfortunately did not save or bookmark. Thanks in
advance.
