Pennsylvania also has townships and, I believe, New Jersey, too.

I have always thought that Townships were only in New England, and in
New
Jersey or elsewhere but not in New York State.  In New York State there
are
only "Towns," besides cities, counties, etc.  I. too, would like to know

basis for this.
