I am contemplating beginning a research project on Joel T. Headley (1813-1897). Headley was a prolific author and served briefly as New York Secretary of State (1855). I have two questions: first, does anyone on this list know of archives containing personal papers? Second, is someone else already hard at work on Headley and about to produce the definitive study (in which case, I'll think of something else to work on!)? phil /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ / "Few fully understand what the Adirondack Philip G.
