For an
informational panel to be erected at the site of a 1930s public works project in Long Lake, I'm looking for a pithy, one-sentence quotation about how New Yorkers suffered and/or prevailed during the Depression. Something by Herbert Lehman would be perfect.
Any ideas?
cheers,
