Hello folks: Philip Terrie's request for information on a
photographer Jesse S Wooley, kindled a long time search I have conducted for the
negatives from the Mason Flying Service that provided aerial photographs for
much of NYS from WWII till mid 1950's. Their work was great but they must
have discontinued their services when one of the brothers was killed in an
airplane crash. Their work would provide a nice collection of what NYS
used to look like. Would anyone know what might have happened to their
collection?
The main competitor to Mason Flying Service was Henry DeWolf, owner of
Aerial Surveys (photos from 1946-1987), negatives have been located and images
can be purchased. Each printed photo has an identification number on the
back which is the only key to finding the negative
