Dan: It depends on what you are looking for but James Foote is a TR interpretive actor who is a TR scholar in his own right and is highly regarded as a speaker (see NY Times, late August 2008). Tweed Roosevelt, a TR great-grandson is well versed in TR and conservation. Dr. Natalie Naylor and myself, both of Hofstra University, have also spoken on a number of occasions on TR regarding everything from race and gender issues to conservation. You may also wish to contact the Theodore Roosevelt Association in Oyster Bay. Their website is www.theodoreroosevelt.org, James Bruns is the president. I hope this is of some help. I have contacted NPS interpretive staff there, but am looking for historian resources outside the NPS as well. This is a third party request for the NYS Bar Association, which is seeking a speaker re Roosevelt/Sagamore Hill for a late September meeting, in NYC I believe.
