He was a New York City Merchant and land speculator. His father in law was William Denning, who also wheeled and deal. William Henderson was a member of the Tontine Coffee house, and he died in Albany in 1825. Our town is named for him and I am collecting info for our town's 200th year. Thanks. I have not been able to find where he was born, (1767) or who his parents were, but he appears on the scene a bit after the Revolutionary War and buys land pensions, and eventually large tracts of land.
