William Henderson died Feb 11, 1825 in his 57th year. He was buried in the Episcopal section of the old State St Burying Grounds (now Washington Park). Those graves were removed to the Albany Rural Cemetery around 1860-5. John N. He was a New York City Merchant and land speculator. His father in law was William Denning, who also wheeled and deal. William Henderson was a member of the Tontine Coffee house, and he died in Albany in 1825. Our town is named for him and I am collecting info for our town's 200th year. Thanks. I have not been able to find where he was born, (1767) or who his parents were, but he appears on the scene a bit after the Revolutionary War and buys land pensions, and eventually large tracts of land.
