I'm retiring as Executive Director of the Essex Community Heritage Organization (ECHO), Essex, New York, at the end of the year after 21 years in that position. ECHO is one of New York' oldest (1969) and most active rural preservation groups. The ECHO Board of Directors is beginning the process to search for a replacement. This is an opportunity to live in and work for the protection of one of the most beautiful small towns anywhere. Essex is on the shore of Lake Champlain, within the Adirondack Park and its extraordinary recreational opportunities. Burlington Vermont is a 30 minute ferry ride away.
