From: CHRISTOPHER DAVIS [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2002 11:58 PM Subject: Architect by the name of Engelhardt Hello, I am looking for a contact who might have information on an Architect by the name of Engelhardt, who was practicing in New York in the 1870's. Although I live in Ohio, I am currently working on the restoration of the tower (the entire tower came down) of a church designed in about 1874 by this Architect. I found a vague reference on a Brooklyn genealogy website on an Architect by the name of Theobald Engelhardt, who may or may not be the architect I am looking for, the information is as follows: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~blkyn/Streets/B.Street.html Theobald EUGELHARDT, architect, started in 1875, #905, No.east corner Arion Place. He resided at 277 Hart St. The former Arion Hall, #13 Arion Place. The Arion Society, founded 1865, in a school house in Williamsburgh, the hall was built in 1887. Theobald ENGELHARDT, architect, #14 Fayette St, later his house was built on cor. Broadway & Wall St, now called Arion Place. If you could provide me with as sources of information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Christopher Davis [log in to unmask]
