Logic tells me that England would not send a ship across the Atlantic
between December and March but my logic has been wrong before. Yet, logic
also tells me that someone wouldn't write a letter in December if he/she
knew it wouldn't leave England before spring. The letter in question was
from the Duke of York's Secretary, Sir Joseph Werden, to Governor Andros.

Is anyone informed on ships sailing to Manhattan in the winters of the
1660s and 1670s?

Thanks.
