In researching the product of 19th century Lockport stone quarries, one
destination recording in our archives was a monument in New York City
identified only as "the Douglass monument".  While it might be supposed
that this refers to a monument to Frederick Douglass, who knows? It
could be a monument to some other Douglass.  And that is my question:
Who knows?
