Bill-
Even if you decide to photocopy it, I would recommend 35mm preservation
microfilming of this book. In this way, you can have a service copy reel or
two for researchers to use, protecting the original book from further
deterioration.

  Subject: 1811 School Record Book

  Hi All:

With recent school renovations, the original Town School Record book has
been located for our town. This is especially exciting as all town records
prior to 1850 have been burned. This book is very fragile and I need some
recommendations on proper handling inlieu of just laying it on the Xerox
machine and making a copy for circulation to interested town members.

  TIA
